Person in Wheelchair Hit, Killed While Crossing Road in Frederick 

Incident Information

Tragedy struck on an otherwise ordinary day in Frederick. Authorities are currently investigating a pedestrian incident that occurred on Thursday, Oct.12 around 11am on the 1200 block of West Patrick Street. The victim was in a wheelchair, and unfortunately, did not survive the accident. 

Officers were patrolling the area when they came across a vehicle parked in the middle of the road causing them to initiate an investigation. They soon discovered that a pedestrian in a wheelchair was hit by a car and had sustained serious injuries. Despite the efforts of EMS to save the victim’s life, unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is yet to be revealed. The FPD Crash Reconstruction Team has taken over the investigation of this deadly accident. Further information will be released as the investigation continues.
