Pedestrian Accident: Man Struck Crossing Cedar Lane in Howard County

Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision in which a pedestrian lost his life.

According to the Howard County Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. when a man was crossing Cedar Lane near Holland Court. The man was struck by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, the man was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, a male, remained at the scene following the crash and was not injured. Howard County Police said he cooperated with the investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.

Cedar Lane at Holland Court was closed for approximately two hours while investigators processed the scene and gathered evidence. After the investigation was completed, the road was reopened to traffic.
