Motorcycle Accident Victim Dies at intersection of Telegraph Road and Buckingham Place

Maryland State Police said a Severn man was killed Tuesday night when his motorcycle collided with a car making a left turn at an intersection in Anne Arundel County.

Police said the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Telegraph Road (MD 170) and Buckingham Place in Severn. They said a 2004 Acura TSX sedan was eastbound on Buckingham Place and had a flashing red signal when it started to turn left onto Telegraph Road.

At the same time, police said, a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 20-year-old Lucas Giovanni Ross of Severn was southbound on Telegraph Road with a flashing yellow signal. The motorcycle collided with the Acura in the intersection, police said.

Ross was taken to an area trauma center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Acura was not injured, authorities said. No charges have been filed as of Wednesday morning, and the crash remains under investigation.
