On April 22, a woman from Annapolis was tragically killed in a car crash in Anne Arundel County. According to authorities, the woman, 42-year-old Elizabeth Payne, was involved in a head-on collision at the intersection of College Parkway and Bellerive Drive in Arnold.

The initial investigation indicates that Payne crossed over the center lines of her vehicle and was struck by a truck while attempting to turn onto Bellerive Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the truck suffered no injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
