Car Accident: Three People Seriously Injured on Gue Road

Late Thursday night, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to a severe accident in Damascus, mobilizing a significant emergency response effort.

The incident took place at approximately 11 p.m. on Gue Road, situated between Ridge Road and Long Corner Road. A vehicle had lost control and crashed into a tree with significant force, resulting in one individual being trapped inside the wreckage. The severity of the collision necessitated immediate and extensive rescue operations.

Upon arrival, MCFRS paramedics promptly assessed the situation and began their efforts to extricate the trapped occupant. The complex extraction process required specialized equipment and meticulous coordination among the rescue team to ensure the individual’s safety.

In total, three men were evaluated on-site by the paramedics. Despite the serious nature of their injuries, all were reported to be in stable condition and non-life-threatening. They were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment and observation, ensuring they received the necessary care without delay.

Due to the critical condition of one of the individuals, a Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter was dispatched to the scene. The helicopter airlifted the person to Baltimore’s Shock Trauma Center, known for its expertise in handling severe trauma cases. This rapid transportation was crucial in providing the individual with advanced medical care as quickly as possible.

The crash site on Gue Road remained closed for several hours as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene and conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. The cooperation between MCFRS, local law enforcement, and the Medevac team exemplified the coordinated efforts required in such serious incidents.
